I can think of all sorts of things, but I've no idea if any of them are what you're hinting toward. [He smiles, and kind of beckons for David.] I suppose I might make an educated guess.

[David finishes texting Charlie as he sits on the edge of the tub.]

What sort of educated-- oh. [He goes red as a tomato, remembering a certain night at Alan's with Chloe.]

I was thinking we could turn off the lights and tell ghost stories but your idea works, too.

[She leans her elbows on her knees, chin in her hands as she watches what happens next.]

[infernoandhearth]

Oh no, ghost stories won't work until it's much later. [He gestures at the window, which has afternoon sun streaming through it and, additionally: has no curtains.] We've been meaning to get to that. Now, if it were actually a closet...

[He looks around, judging the room.] I'm not certain the bath is big enough.

Big enough for what exactly? What are you both suggesting?

Okay, ghost stories second.

[She scramble forward onto her hands and knees.]

I dunno. What are we suggesting, Luke?

[Luke tilts his head and looks innocent.] I was suggesting David join us in the tub, but it doesn't seem all too plausible. It looks like we'll have to go to him. [Shuffling himself onto his own knees, Luke hooks the back of David's head with one hand and pulls him down for a kiss.] There. I was thinking that, thematically. I might even be Chloe, if the two of you can come to a consensus.

[ As soon as Luke breaks the kiss David starts sputtering, redder than before. ] Luke! [ He doesn't know how to react. They've never kissed in front of an audience before. He looks from Luke to Dulcie, flabbergasted and embarrassed. ]

It's okay. Just pretend I'm not here if that helps.

Hey, it's alright, you needn't worry. Dulcie doesn't mind. [He gets out of the tub to sit on the rim beside David, and puts an arm around him.] Of course, I think she might mind even less if she'd the chance to be involved... [He leans sideways a bit to kiss the side of David's face, by his eye.]

[ David doesn't think his eyes have ever been so wide. ] I wouldn't want Dulcie to feel excluded...

[You boys are adorable.]

Don't worry. I won't be. I'm very good at feeling included.

Hey. [She reaches over to lace her fingers through his.] Relax.

Let's see. [He squeezes David and then stands up.] How clean is the floor, do you think? We've a couple of towels, and the bathmat... [He flings out towels from the linen cupboard to land on David and Dulcie.] You two ought to get acquainted.

Get acquainted how? [David holds on to Dulcie's hand like a lifeline and gives her a sheepish smile.]

However you want to be. Here.

[She curls one hand behind David's ear, turning his face towards her.]

You look scared. You don't need to be.

[infernoandhearth]

[Luke grabs the biggest towel and lays it out on the floor like they're at the beach, and then layers the bathmat and folded towels on top. The floor is all ready for cuddles, now.] Just tell us if there's anything you want. Though I imagine Dulcie and I are both just fine, taking initiative.

[He sits back on the tub edge and leans his side up against David supportively.]

I don't want anything. I mean-- I don't mean that! I just ...I don't know what I want.

[He lets out a great big sigh and lets his head flop back onto Luke's shoulder.]

I think we all get like that.

[Dulcie bites her lip before she leans in to kiss him. It's barely more than a brush of lips, plenty of room for him to pull back if he wants to.]

[Luke just pats at David's back comfortingly. Comforting him about all the hot makeouts he is about to get.]

[ David is surprised by the kiss, but Luke is there reassuring him that it's okay, so he kisses Dulcie back. He's not exactly good, but he's not particularly experienced either so he has that for an excuse. ]

[Believer her when she says she's had far, far worse. She giggles into his mouth a little before she pulls back, grinning.]

Well, I liked watching. [He puts a hand on each of their shoulders and kind of leans into their space.]

[ David grins too. This isn't so bad. He laughs at Luke and kisses his cheek. ] You would, wouldn't you.

[She laughs and kisses David again. And then Luke because he is right there after all.]
